Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson – Motion Graphics Package & VFX Course Project, Seneca Polytechnic, 2024
This cinematic motion graphics package was designed for the anticipated Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing event. The creative direction captures the fierce intensity of the fighters while reflecting the bold, raw, and high-stakes tone of the sport. Grit, blood, suspense, and rhythm—this project merges old-school boxing nostalgia with modern digital motion strategy, all built from scratch in After Effects.
"Every punch tells a story."
The main CTA animations encourage viewers to subscribe, buy tickets, or follow the event, using pulsing red visuals inspired by blood splatter and raw motion. The ultimate message: This isn’t just a match—it’s war. This project demonstrates how to convert a static fight card into a dynamic, emotionally charged broadcast-ready motion design suite, using custom transitions, animated logos, lower thirds, and blood-textured typography. Each visual choice is purposeful, from typewriter flickers in fighter info cards to smoke-fused animated backgrounds.
