  • Joker Reanimation - VFX Course Project, Seneca Polytechnic, 2024

  • As part of my VFX coursework, I selected the official Joker: Folie à Deux poster and transformed it into an animated, looped visual experience. The original was a static image, and given the difficulty of sourcing high-res elements, I meticulously extracted characters and layered visual components to create a fluid and immersive atmosphere.

  • Breathe life into a still image. Transform a haunting moment into a cinematic loop—light, smoke, and movement reframe the story.

  • Even a single frame holds infinite potential when paired with creativity and visual storytelling techniques.

  • To practice advanced After Effects techniques including puppet tool animation, light and smoke simulation, and kinetic typography while telling a mood-driven micro-story.

    • Sourcing high-resolution poster without background artifacts

    • Isolating characters without losing detail

    • Synchronizing light rays, smoke layers, and body movement without disrupting realism

    • Seamlessly looped movement and atmosphere using puppet tools

    • Created immersive smoke and ray effects to add depth

    • Elevated a still image into a visually compelling cinematic moment
