  • TheSix Technology Solutions

A Toronto-based engineering firm specializing in advanced fuel cell testing and production systems. Their mission is built on a singular principle: delivering unparalleled value that transforms client success into a lasting legacy.

  • Brand Identity Design & Product Catalog Development Trade Show Visuals & Motion Graphics

  • As design manager, I was tasked with building a brand system that could hold its own in one of the world’s largest industrial venues—without the luxury of high-end visuals or a fully responsive team. TheSix is deeply rooted in engineering, and while their technology is impressive, their visual identity lacked cohesion, clarity, and emotional resonance.

The name “TheSix” is a nod to Toronto’s cultural identity, and I used that as a foundation to create a brand that felt local yet globally competitive. The logo system draws from modular geometry and urban infrastructure—mirroring both fuel cell architecture and the city grid. The catalog was designed to make complex systems feel intuitive, with clean layouts and a color-coded system that helped organize product categories.

Without access to high-quality product photography or team portraits, I leaned into motion design and typography. I created an animated video with engaging text and dynamic transitions that became the centerpiece of their pavilion. It helped bridge the gap between technical depth and visual storytelling.

  • “Creating value that transforms success into legacy.”

This statement became the backbone of the brand voice—positioning TheSix as a long-term partner in innovation, not just a vendor.

  • By turning constraints into creative direction, I helped TheSix stand out in a crowded venue and connect with clients through clarity, confidence, and storytelling.

  • To build a scalable brand system that reflects TheSix’s engineering excellence, Toronto roots, and global ambition. The goal was to create materials that could support trade shows, investor presentations, and client onboarding with equal impact—despite limited resources.

  • Pain Points

    • The print production was handled in Turkey, and time zone differences caused delays in finalizing edits

    • Due to the limited high-quality product or team photography, we ended up using AI technology to produce photos that significantly showcase the products.

    • The pressure of presenting at a major international venue with limited assets and time

    Achievements

    • Developed a logo system inspired by modular geometry and Toronto’s urban identity

    • Designed a product catalog with a color-coded system to organize product types and improve readability

    • Created an animated video with engaging typography and motion graphics that became the pavilion’s biggest attention-grabber

    • Designed email advertisements and digital assets that drove traffic and interest before and during the event

    • Despite early communication challenges, the brand owner became responsive and collaborative once the vision took shape

    • The pavilion attracted more client interest than expected—many approached to learn more, explore the catalog, and engage with the video

    • I’m proud of the final result—it reflects both the company’s values and my own creative integrity under pressure
