HaveInn – Seneca Polytechnic (Interactive Media Design, 2024)
Art Director and XD researcher (student)
As part of a diploma program at Seneca Polytechnic, I led the branding and identity design for HaveInn, a student-driven housing platform aimed at supporting international students in Canada. This community-centered service connects homeowners, students, NGOs, and governments to address affordable housing challenges. I developed the logo and brand visuals from scratch, defining the design language, color palette, and emotional direction of the product.
Affordable Living, Global Community
The core message behind the logo and interface is inclusivity, safety, and warmth—a platform built by and for students seeking a new sense of belonging. The heart inside the “H” subtly symbolizes care and shared purpose.HaveInn is more than a housing app—it’s a visual bridge between local hosts and globally arriving students, using bright, optimistic branding to foster a sense of safety and connection.
To craft a scalable and accessible identity that resonates with the emotional and practical needs of international students navigating new environments, while representing trust for institutional and governmental partners.
• Built a complete brand identity from scratch, including logo variations and digital brand assets.
• Aligned color psychology with HaveInn’s core values—trust, optimism, and clarity.
• Developed app-ready branding assets during a student project with limited time and resources, while also designing UI screens and visual mockups.
• Turned a UX research-driven concept into a clear, memorable brand that helped communicate the platform’s mission instantly to new users.
