The Oil and Gas Year – Mexico 2018 Edition
SCT – Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transportes (Mexico)
This ad for the Mexican Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SCT) was developed for The Oil & Gas Year’s 2018 Mexico edition. The goal was to visualize Mexico’s ambition to expand its energy infrastructure and global logistics reach by highlighting six key oil ports: Altamira, Tampico, Tuxpan, Coatzacoalcos, Dos Bocas, and Progreso.
To communicate the scope and modernization efforts, I crafted an original composite scene that merged port visuals into a unified, forward-looking landscape framed in the colors of the Mexican flag. This solution made the message cohesive, nationalistic, and optimistic—aligning with the campaign’s intent to reinforce SCT’s role in connecting Mexico to the global energy network.
"Connecting Mexico to the world"
This statement underscores Mexico’s evolving infrastructure and oil logistics strategy, reinforcing SCT’s vision of global integration and modernization.Government institutions can signal transformative ambition even without high-end assets—if the message is crafted through strong, intentional visual storytelling.
To position SCT as a driving force in Mexico’s oil and gas future, highlight planned port expansions, and reflect national progress under Mexico’s Energy Reform initiative.
